About the Opportunity

We have a permanent opportunity for a full-time Senior Records Officer within our Digital Innovation Team. Reporting to the Supervisor of Records Management, you will play a pivotal role in providing efficient and reliable records management service and administration for the City of Darwin.

Day to day responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Actively engage in the planning & delivery of Records Management related tasks
  • Provide support in managing efficient, securely and timely handling and storage of City of Darwin's hardcopy and electronic information, ensuring compliance with legislation
  • Coordinate and deliver training in records management processes, freedom of information and
  • Provide mentoring, coaching and support within your team
  • Provide a consistent high standard of customer service
  • Conduct searches for records and information across various internal systems
  • Provide effective senior level information and records management services to City of Darwin and may provide support to team members in the Supervisors absence
  • Process records for offsite storage or disposal in accordance with records management policies and procedures
  • Acting in the supervisor's role when required to ensure continuity of service.

About you

You will have at least 3 years' experience working in a similar records management or administration role with a sound technical understanding of records management. You'll thrive working in a team environment, demonstrate great communication and time management skills. You have a passion for providing support, maintaining positive relationships with diverse stakeholder groups, and delivering high quality outcomes.
